sms controlled devices using n3310

hi ajay,

i'm a beginner for electronics.
i've got interested on the previous project of abicash (sms controller using nokia 3310). However, what i had here with me is a PIC 16f877 microcontroller which is different from what abicash used( at89s52). would it still be possible to use this? how would i get started?

yeah.. not a problem. all you need is to communicate with phone using UART at 115200 bps.

how to send the 'U' string to the phone? what application did you used?

you can make use of Hyperterminal, but for sending hex data you might need to use special kind of terminal program, like realterm etc. search in google if you can find a better one.
