Let us start from the basics..
If I have GSM SIM300 then how can I connect it with PC,(using XP).
And what I have to write in Hyperterminal Window to check the GSM modem working??

connect using serial cable and type "AT"[enter] to see if modem is working or not. Modem should reply "OK". To check if GSM part is fine... if you sim is inserted.. type "AT+CPIN" and to check if network is there or not type "AT+COPS" or "AT+CREG"

@Ajay, thanks for your reply that came real fast..
See, there is a DB-9 female connector in Modem and there is one Male Connector available in PC also..
Can I attach it directly with PC??
Or I will have to connect it through serial cable??

you can directly connect it to your PC if it fits.. (no obstruction) but its better to use a serial cable as modem will be easily accessible to you all the time. You can reset modem, change sim etc, all these will be easier.
