Dear All ,

can you help me to solve the regarding the linear - LT3652 problem?
I follow the LT3652 data sheet (page 26) to connect the parts and carry out the test, i provide the 12V into the LT3652, but the pin7 and pin 9 is not any output(0V).

i try provide the 12V to IC only (other pins is no connect any thing), but also. the ic is no output

i would like to know what the problem happens?

Did you follow the attached diagram exactly ?

This kind of charger will not work without all components fitted and
a battery connected.
Connected a battery and try at least a 15 volt supply.

yes, i following the data sheet typical application page 26 diagram.
(attach circuit)

i try to connect all the components for testing, but no connect the battery.
The output pin is no any voltage, and also other pins are no response.

can you tell me how to test?

As per the datasheet, if you want to operate load without connecting battery then a decoupling capacitor is needed. Here is the text from datasheet.

If it is desired to operate a system load from the LT3652 charger output when the battery is disconnected, additional bypass capacitance is required. In this type of application, excessive ripple and/or low amplitude oscillations can occur without additional output bulk capacitance. For these applications, place a 100μF low ESR non-ceramic capacitor (chip tantalum or organic semiconductor capacitors such as Sanyo OS-CONs or POSCAPs) from BAT to ground, in parallel with the 10μF ceramic bypass capacitor. This additional bypass capacitance may also be required in systems where the battery is connected to the charger with long wires. The voltage rating of CBAT must meet or exceed the battery float voltage.

thank you for your help.
but when the disconnect the battery, i don't know why the output pin is no voltage of the IC

can you teach me how to test the ic?

The LT3652 is an intelligent charger.

It monitors the battery voltage and the current drawn.
With no battery the charger may see an error and shut down.

Your circuit is set to stop charging if the
supply voltage is under 16 volts.
Connect VIN_REG (Pin 2): to VIN (Pin 1):

The best test is to connect a 12volt lead acid battery
with a supply of at least 16 volts.
